Well, 1st of all I would like to wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year. It's a good thing Malaysia is 'berbilang kaum' therefore, we would have a lot of holidays. Usually we will think about all the good and happy things. On 2nd thought, I think there is lots of lots of lots of sad and unhappy things.. Let me list it down...
Few Facts about CHINESE NEW YEAR!!
1. We know it’s a must for the elderly to give out ANGPAWs to the youngster rite?
The amount that we usually get is around RM5 - RM20 from a house I repeat ONE house ok, so for those who manage to get RM100 above… You’re LUCKY. Even though if you just get RM 2 or 5? You should be grateful enough. Imagine how much do you get if you go to 10 houses in a day? Gosh. Hei, but for those who are too busy open house, who ask you so ‘Sien’ want to be waiter serve the guesses. Not just u didn’t get to collect angpaw, you’ll be tired washing the dishes, pouring the soft drinks, and talking nonsense to the unknown guesses. Am I right? That is the truth. Another fact, do they gives angpaw to the teenager which is around 15 -19? I don’t think so unless you look freaking small. If not, then you dun need to waste your energy waiting so long waiting for them to give you the stupid red packet.. “Man man den” means you wait lamak-lamak in Mandarin...-_-”
2. Free MAKAN & MINUM!!!!!
Man!! Love eating all the nice food especially MEE SUA!!! It’s so damn nice. Not just we get to save money from eating at the ‘mamak stall’ or somewhere on earth but we get to eat free too. Besides, nobody will bother so much if u ‘beh siao li’ take some more since its New Year mar...Small matter. Don’t worry, worry also die. But again. You’ll be bloated since lets say you visit maybe around 5 or 7 houses and you’ll be eating 5 to 7 bowls of ‘CNY’ formula. If u wonder what’s that? According to Tina’s Law
CNY = Angpaw + Free (makan + minum) + Holidays – petrol – time x firecrackers
3. Friendster???
If you’re visiting people’s house, you’ll get to know their family members and friends rite? Normally u go to my house then I’ll introduce you to my friend then you guys will get to know each other and start eating together and laughing together rite? Beside chiak and drink free, you can save your electric and internet bill by meeting new friends there. No need for you to surf the net or online liaw. Lolz. But again, there’s always a BUT here. But then, how if those people are not friendly to you. They talk to other people and make you feel like ‘individu tersisih’ in other word ‘BSKL’ not basikal but those kampong people said budak sik kenak layan. Oh tedah! So, you will be listening to very boring conversation: “Hei what’s your name? My name is Diana. So where did you study? What form are you in? Yada yada yada blah blueh blueks". Thanks to them you’ll be bored to death but still you have two options. A. Listen to the boring and same Chinese New year song in all the Channels or B. Continue listening to their boring conversation. -_-'
4. Since I can’t think any good things during Chinese New Year liaw, I listed out all the BAD things that I can think of pulak.
- What do we get from the teachers?
Blueh! Let me see, we have at least 10 SUBJECTS in school plus extra homework. HOLIDAYS? HOLIDAYS? No big deal since we won’t be having enough time to relax in fact I’m not sure if we do have enough time to finish all the works in short form.
Holiday homework + CNY preparation + some time to relax + Cleaning after CNY + watch CNY concert + sleep + go visiting + personal stuff = -HOLIDAYS
See? There’s too many things need to be done and yet only were only given erm... 1 week? Gosh! So unfair!!
- Traffic Jammed!!
People go visiting, balik kampong, and imagine all the cars there stuck there causing the traffic jammed? Hush! Then you have to reload your petrol and yada yada yada.
- Boredom
The feelings dat fills all the people who stay at home 24 hours didn’t go visit or anything… Sheesh. Example like me… L
- CNY war…
Next time ask those children to stop playing with ‘bunga api’. Don’t they know it’s dangerous to play those thingy?
Well there’s always GOOD thing and BAD thing. At least this year no more banjir. And I understand some Muslims don’t really like this year... But the Chinese... Welcome the oink oink year!! Hush! Jia You for another year... Gambate!!
